Funding Now Available For British Science Week 2020

At Science Boffins HQ we are already very excited for British Science Week (6th – 15th March 2020) but now we have even more reason to celebrate because the British Science Association have just announced that applications for grants and funding for British Science Week 2020 are now open!

The British Science Association offer three grant schemes to support activities and events for British Science Week; one for schools, one for community groups, and a third for British Science Association branches.

Kick Start Grants are available for schools in challenging circumstances to organise events for British Science Week 2020. This can be up to £300 (Kick Start Grant) or even up to £700 if they also include the local community (Kick Start More Grant).

The BSA are also offering community grants of between £500 and £1,000 for community groups who work with audiences who are traditionally under-represented and are not currently engaged in a science activity.

There are also funding grants of up to £1,000 for British Science Association branches to run local events for British Science Week. This scheme is open to volunteer branches only.

To find out more about the different funding grants available and to see if your group or school are eligible, visit the British Science Association website here.

Applications for grants close on 11th November 2019 at 5pm.
